Wine description
This Apulian red wine from Cantina Due Palme is made from pure Syrah grapes grown on calcareous clay-loam soils rich in gravel. Following manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, followed by ageing, also in steel, for a period of 7 months. The final stage of ageing requires a period of rest in the bottle for at least 3 months.
Characteristics of this Apulian red wine
It has a ruby red colour with purple reflections. The bouquet is characterised by notes of plum, date, citrus and violet. On the palate, it is fresh with a liquorice finish.
Recommended pairings with this Salento red wine
Excellent with red meats and mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16/18 °C.
