Descrizione vino

This wine comes from the vinification in purity of Sauvignon Blanc del Friuli grapes, produced by Castello di Spessa Winery. The great refinement and boundless delicacy distinguish it and make it an excellent and high quality wine. The origin falls within the company areas, in Friuli. The harvest takes place in the first week of September. The vinification requires that the grapes are passed through the soft press to ensure the integrity of the skins. Before fermentation, the must is cold clarified. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 18°C then decanted and left on the noble lees until March for a clear extraction of aromas and greater body of the wine.

 

Characteristics of this white wine from Friuli

This wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is characterized by evident hints of elderberry, sage, tomato leaf and grapefruit. The taste in the mouth gives acidity and sensations of softness and roundness.

 

Suggested food pairings while tasting this white wine from Castello di Spessa Winery

An excellent wine with fish of all kinds and strong flavored herb risottos, shellfish salad with tomatoes and chives, pasta with freshwater prawns and mint, fish soup. The optimal serving temperature is 10°C in a high and wide glass.
