Passito di Vermentino "PIAN DEL FICO" Baia del Sole

This Vermentino "Pian del Fico" from La Baia del Sole Winery is produced with 100% Vermentino grapes grown on the company's land in Luni, near La Spezia, on sandy clay and pebble soils. Following the manual harvest which involves a careful selection of the best bunches, the berries are left to dry in perforated boxes for a duration of 2 months; then we move on to the de-stemming, crushing and separation of the skins. The vinification ends with natural decantation, temperature-controlled fermentation in barrels and final refinement in the bottle.

Characteristics of this Ligurian Vermentino

At the organoleptic examination this wine shows a straw yellow color with golden reflections; the olfactory notes refer to floral and fruity elements while on the palate it strikes for the savory and persistent finish.

Try it with dried fruit, pastry but also medium-aged cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 14°C.
