Wine Characteristics
Descrizione vino
Montebello BIO di Badia a Coltibuono comes from the vinification of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo, Mammolo and other indigenous red grape varieties: each variety is vinified separately. The vineyards are located in the territory of Monti in Chianti, province of Siena, where the Azienda Badia a Coltibuono, owned by the Stucchi family since 1846, is located. After the manual harvest with a careful selection of the most favorable exposures, we proceed with the harvest of the vines that are vinified individually and with the use of indigenous yeasts. The wines are then assembled for aging in oak barrels for 6 months.
MONTEBELLO BIO's features
The ruby color is very intense. On the nose we can recognize the typical fruity scents that alternate with spicier ones. The palate is structured, full-bodied but smooth and balanced.
