Descrizione vino

Produced with local autochthonous grapes grown on sandy and slightly clayey alluvial soils, this Contini wine is a Vernaccia obtained from a part of dried grapes and a part harvested in a traditional way. The withered part matures in steel, while the other half in drained vats for the development of the classic yeast veil Flor, which generates the classic hints of Vernaccia. The vines are located in the Tirso River Valley, near the Sinis Peninsula, in central-western Sardinia: here they enjoy the benefits of the Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot and ventilated summers.

 

Characteristics of this wine from Contini Winery

The organoleptic examination shows a bright amber color, with golden reflections. The nose is rich and fruity with hints of apricot, raisin almonds and hazelnuts. Sweetness and body blend in a perfect balance with freshness and flavor.

 

Serving suggestions tasting Isola dei Nuraghi Bianco Sweet with overripe grapes "Pontis"

A great wine to accompany the typical Sardinian desserts, desserts by the spoon, pastry cakes with dried fruit. To try also with blue cheeses. The optimal serving temperature is 12°C in a glass not very wide.
