Franciacorta Pinot Nero "NATURA" DOCG Contadi Castaldi
The new and excellent wine of the prestigious Contadi Castaldi winery that operates in the heart of Franciacorta, is produced with 100% Pinot Noir grapes bred and vinified within the company. The origin of the vines is within the Franciacorta pedopa cooperative zone and the breeding takes place with the Guyot and Casarsa systems. The plant density is between 3,000 and 5,000 vines per hectare of vineyard land. The yield is about 95 quintals per hectare of vine. The average age of the vines is 25 years. The harvest takes place at the end of August and the beginning of September, extending for about 15 days in order to capture the full ripeness of the fruit. Pressing during the vinification phase takes place softly. Then the cold static decanting and the subsequent inoculation with selected yeasts. The fermentation of 20 days in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and the malolactic fermentation partially carried out. The first aging lasts 7 months and takes place for half of the product in steel for the remaining part in barriques.

This Franciacorta Pinot Nero Natura by Contadi Castaldi is a sparkling wine with a straw yellow color with slightly orange reflections. The perlage is fine and persistent; the bouquet is very broad and is characterized by the aromas of citrus fruits, pink grapefruit, wild strawberry, white flowers, lime, acacia honey and green oregano. On the palate it is a crunchy, sapid, fresh wine with notes of wild citrus fruit from the forest.
