Antinori

“Villa Antinori” represents above all else an idea, a way to conceive winemaking as experimentation and evolution on one side, historical and territorial valorisation on the other.

“Villa Antinori” constitutes an important milestone. Indeed, its own name has almost one hundred years of history and is still able to convey the idea of a constant evolution and historical rootedness.

An exclusive firm point distinguishes its productions: the research of constantly higher qualitative standards. Two different wines originate from this conception and quality is their one thing in common: Villa Antinori Red and Villa Antinori White.

In 1928 the Marquis Niccolò Antinori created the Villa Antinori as a Classic Chianti meant to be aged and get better in time. Since then the Villa Antinori can be found in the most prestigious winery of embassies, royal houses, grand hotels and restaurants.

Villa Antinori White was born in 1931 from traditional Trebbiano grapes and in the middle of the 80s a small percentage of Chardonnay was added in order to deliver more structure.

A new evolution of Villa Antinori Red was inaugurated in 2001 when it became a Tuscany I.G.T made with the best grape selections exclusively belonging to the Tuscan Antinori estates.

In 2004 some of the most prospective vineyards of the Tuscany estates began dedicating themselves to the Villa Antinori in order to develop always greater wines every year.
