Syrah "Fondo Filara" DOC
From the ancient Sicilian winery Nicosia it is produced this Syrah which is perfectly adapted to the Sicilian land and it produces this fantastic, intense and bodied wine. The cultivation soil is sandy and it is located at 200-250 meters above the sea level. The cultivation method is the trellised with cordon spur pruning. The manual picking takes place in September. It follows a short maceration and the maturation each one for 10-15 days at 22-24°C. Finally, the aging period starts in steel then there are 5-6 months of wood and finally 4 months in bottle.
Characteristcis of this Syrah wine
It has a garnet color with purple reflections. The smell is intense, with characteristic spicy and jam aromas. The taste is bodied, velvety and persistent.
