Wine description
Like all products in the Myò line from the Zorzettig Winery in Friuli, grapes from the oldest vines are used for this Schioppettino. This Friulian red wine is made from pure Schioppettino grapes which, following harvest and destemming, macerate for about 15 days with daily pumping over and fermentation in steel. This is followed by ageing in barriques for one year.
Characteristics of this Friuli wine
It has a ruby red colour and impresses with a range of olfactory sensations from spicy and balsamic notes to ripe red fruit. On the palate it is complex but at the same time soft and with a good persistence.
Recommended pairings with this Friuli red wine
Perfect with red meat and game dishes. Also try it with mature cheeses. Serve at a temperature of 16-18°C.
