This Rosso di Montalcino from the Tuscan winery Canalicchio di Sopra is produced with pure Sangiovese grapes grown within the Canalicchio Cru, a clayey soil very rich in magnesium, iron and manganese. After the manual harvest, we proceed with pressing and fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Followed by maceration on the skins for 20 days and aging for one year in Slavonian oak barrels.
Characteristics of this Tuscan wine
Upon organoleptic examination this Tuscan wine shows a bright ruby red color; on the nose the refinement and depth emerge immediately, with hints of small red fruit and flowers, ending with spicy aromas and aromatic herbs. The tannins are elegant and persistence is good.
Suggested food pairings while tasting this Tuscan wine
Perfect wine with both grilled and stewed red meats; to try with blue cheeses and mushroom risotto. To be served at a temperature of 16-18 ° C in a not very large glass.
