NEROAMETÀ BIANCO Mastroberardino
This wine is the result of the white wine making of Aglianico and takes back to life an ancient project of the family, that underlines the versatility of this noble vine variety. “Neroametà” (half-black) refers to the black/red origin of the variety Aglianico. Its white expression is really elegant and represents perfectly the territories and the culture of this special and unique region. The denomination Bianco Campania IGT considers the use of Aglianico 100%. The vineyard is cultivated in the territories owned by the company, in Mirabella Eclano. The lands, with their south-south/east exposition, are located 400 meters on the sea level. Their soils are deep and full of ands and clay. Spur pruned training method on espalier, with 4000 stumps per hectare that are able to develop 70 quintals per hectare. The vineyard is 12 years old and the manual harvest is planned in the middle of October in order to reach the right maturation of the grapes. The white wine making is developed in steel containers at controlled temperature, where the entire grapes, that avoid any contact with peels, rest on yeasts for at least 10 months, followed by a further maturation of 6 months in the bottle.

Light straw yellow with grey shades. The scent explodes with an elegant bouquet, characterized by flowers, like lily of the valley and fruits. Its taste is fresh and strong, with a mineral final.

Perfect with fish soups, rice or beans. It can be suggested with some traditional dishes too, like cold cuts and fresh cheese. It has to be served at 12°C in a high, wide wine glass and reaches an alcoholic strength of 13% Vol.
