Wine list | Langhe Rosso |
This fascinating wine is produced in Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’ Alba, Monforte d’ Alba and La Morra. It is a blend composed by 10% Dolcetto, 30% Barbera and 60% Nebbiolo. The vineyards have a south, south-east exposition and are located 250-350 meters above the sea level. The soils are mainly composed by marl and clay. The plants, that are maximum 20 years old, are trained on espaliers with the traditional Guyot method. 4200 stumps per hectare produce more than 80 quintals per hectare. The wine making starts with the soft pressing. The fermentation is managed in steel containers at a controlled temperature. The maturation, that lasts 4 months, is managed in steel too and it is followed by the aging, developed for 6 months in big barrels and for further 3 months in the bottle.
