This vine variety is doubtless the most desired in Trentino Alto Adige. The aromatic Traminer of Alois Lageder gain its characteristics thank to the different provenience of its grapes. The vineyards spread around Termeno give this wine its substance, its particular scents, while the ones located in Isarco valley, more elevated, make him fresh and refined, giving him special and complex aromas. The harvest happens in different moments, depending on the zone, Bassa Atesina or Isarco valley, with a gap between the two processes that can last also 6 weeks. Alois Lageder produces its wine with 100% Gewürztraminer variety. The selected vineyards in Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno and Isarco valley have a soil composed mainly of sand, pebbles and clay. The age of the of the plants swings between 7 and 15 years old. The harvest starts on 1 September and ends on the first decade of October. It is followed by the fermentation at controlled temperature in steel containers, where in a second step starts the aging on yeasts, that lasts at least 4 months. Gewürztraminer is a soft white wine with fruity hints. Its characteristics and its fragrance are preserved thank to the wine making in steel. It is a good wine for every situation, especially for a dinner made of spicy food.
