Bolgheri "MAGARI" DOC Gaja Cà Marcanda
This “Taglio Bordolese” (typical assembly of Bordeaux) proposed by Ca’ Marcanda met a great success in the international market. It is composed by 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc. In Tuscany, the cultivations rise on dark and white soils. The first are composed mainly by loam and clay, while the second ones are characterized by limestone, clay and stones. All these elements give to the wine perfumes and structure. The wine making requires that the grapes are managed separately, with a period of fermentation and maceration that lasts approximately 15 days. After 12 months aging in wooden barrels the three varieties are assembled and pass some months in the bottle. Brother of “Promis”, “Bolgheri DOC Magari” matures for 18 months in barriques made of French oak. Excellent as all the labels created by Angelo Gaja, it reaches a perfect balance between fruit, softness and all those aromas left by the contact with the wood during the aging. This product is a guarantee, but, after all, we’re talking about Gaja.
