Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore "Vecchie Viti" Brut DOCG Ruggeri
This wine, produced with ancient vines of Valdobbiadene like the most beautiful and enduring Prosecche, Bianchette, Verdise and Perere, wants to be a homage to our earth and to the memory of those people that worked hard to make these lands unique and fertile. Based on this concept, Bisoli family talks about one of her most representative wines, a Prosecco Superiore that comes from vines spread on the whole area of Valdobbiadene and not from a single vineyard. For its production, the family requires the cooperation of a lot of farmers, owners of the vineyards San Pietro, Stefano, Cartizze, Guia and Saccol. During the winter and in spring, they select more than two thousand old vines that produce about 5800 kg of grapes. The wine obtained from the fermentation rests on its yeasts till spring when it is introduced in autoclave. The foam formation is very slow, followed by a further maturation on yeasts that lasts till the bottling, in June. It is a blend composed by 90% Glera, 6% Verdiso, 2% Bianchetta and 2% Perera.
