Descrizione vino

From the Talò line is produced this sensational DOP wine made by the San Marzano winery. The Primitivo grapes are used pure and the profit is 5000 trees per hectare all cultivated in the San Marzano territory, in the Salento, in Puglia. The soil is located at 100 meters above the sea level with few rains and warm temperatures. The soil is clay with some rocks. In the second half of September it takes place the manual harvest and it follows a thermos-controlled maceration for 10 days followed by an alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts. The aging takes place in French and American oak barrels for 6 months. The Primitivo di Manduria DOP Talò San Marzano can be aged up to 5 years.
