The Duca Thaulero line took its name by the Duque Giovanni Thaulero one of the first farmer in Abruzzo. The production of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva is the result of three hundred years of wine tradition in Abruzzo. The vine used is the Montepulciano cultivated in the DOP Abruzzo area.
Characteristics of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo RISERVA "DUCA THAULERO" DOP
It has an intense red color almost garnet with wide and deep purple reflections. The smell is wide and complex but at the same time elegant, and great. There are wood fruits, balsamic aromas for the tannins, leather and spicy hints given by a long barrel aging period. The taste is full, harmonic, balanced, tannic and persistent.

This red wine of the Abruzzo tradition is perfect with roasted or grilled meats. It is perfect with cold cuts and aged cheeses. It is perfect with cornmeal mush and meat in humid. It must be served at 20°C in Ballon wine glasses with a good decanting period.
