Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG  of the historical Winery Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano is one of the best "Nobile" of Italy. The grapes used for its production are: Sangiovese and Canaiolo. The grapes are picked, selected and  fermented for 20 days at a temperature of about 26-28°C. After fermentation the wine is aged for 20 months in small oak barrels. After bottling will rest, at a controlled temperature for 11 months in the winery.

 

Characteristics of this red wine

The color of this precious Nobile di Montepulciano is red deep with violet reflections. The palate offers a full and harmonious taste that expresses a pleasant touch of tannins in the finish. To the  nose,  it amazes for a  fragrances emanating from fruit and hints of underbrush.

 

Recommended pairings while tasting this wine from Tuscany

Serve in large glasses of crystal at a temperature of 16-18°C; enhances its quality if decanted an hour before being served. It is a perfect companion to pasta dishes with meat, roasts, grilled meats and mature cheeses.
