Lugana "Sansonina Fermentazione Naturale" DOC ZENATO
Awards and honors
A Zenato wine cellar, born from the increasingly felt need to enhance the link with the Garda landscape. The strong identity of the territory is amplified by the desire to produce the best grapes of one of the oldest vineyards of Lugana, the Vigna del Moraro Verde, rediscovering the ancient winemaking traditions and focusing the work in the cellar on spontaneous fermentation. A long-lasting wine, where the minerality yielded from the ground is harmonious and indissoluble to the roundness, giving in the mouth unique sensations of pleasure. On the nose the wine is exalted, giving the glass a strong personality with notes of white flowers and ripe yellow fruit that recall the scent of freshly picked grapes. The blend calls for the use of 100% pure Trebbiano di Lugana grapes. The geographical location is that of the company in Peschiera del Garda, in Sansonina - in the province of Verona. The vineyard grown with the simple Guyot method can develop a yield of 80 quintals per hectare of land. The harvest takes place by hand and is immediately followed by the vinification which involves fermentation by indigenous yeasts naturally present on the grapes. Then the destemming with soft pressing, the natural clarification of the must and fermentation in small steel tanks for 20 days.
