From a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, this Franciacorta Brut from Cantina Bonfadini was born. The grapes come from vines with an average age of 10 years, rooted on soils of glacial moraine origin in the hilly area. The bunches are collected manually during the early August harvest; they are then placed in crates and subjected to soft pressing. This is followed by first fermentation in heat-conditioned steel tanks at a temperature of 14/16°C. Part of the Chardonnay ferments and ages in medium-roasted French oak barriques for a period of 7 months. Further final bottle aging of at least 24 months.
Characteristics of this Franciacorta Brut wine
It has a straw yellow color with greenish veins. The olfactory bouquet is very intense, with hints of honey and vanilla. Good acidity on the palate.
