From a blend of traditional grape varieties, this wine from Cantina Anselmi was born. Its origins lie in the hills of Veneto, in particular Monteforte d'Alpone on the top of the Zoppega hill, near Capitel Croce. Harvesting requires careful harvesting of the best bunches; this is followed by soft pressing in an inert atmosphere, decanting the must, and fermentation in Allier barriques, where the final aging process also takes place for 4-5 months.
Characteristics of the "Capitel Croce"
On appearance, the wine is straw yellow in colour with golden shades. The scent is delicate and expresses itself with sweet sensations of ripe yellow fruit, plum, citrus, wildflowers and mineral touches. The taste is very fresh, mineral, round and with a long and persistent finish.
Recommended pairings when tasting this wine from Cantina Ansemi
An excellent wine with fish-based first courses and main courses. The optimal serving temperature is 8°C in a tall, wide glass. Wine is perfect for drinking immediately, but can evolve well if kept to rest in the cellar. Evolves in the cellar quietly for 2–3 years.
