This 100% Sangiovese comes from the "Viticciana" vineyard. This vineyard, wanted by our father Ugo Contini Bonacossi was designed and built by him. It has the characteristic of having the rows interrupted by two “giropoggio” roads, in counter-slope, which channel rainwater and avoid the erosion of the precious earth. The rows are adorned with rose plants chosen by him and lovingly watered in the summer. The exposure of the vines is perfect. Grapes are harvested by hand. The vine used for its production is that of 100% pure Sangiovese. The production area is that of Carmignano in the province of Prato. The harvest takes place at the end of September. Vinification follows in steel tanks where the wine remains for 7 days during which it ferments. Followed by further and 13 days of maceration with the skins before racking, at a temperature of 26/28 ° c. Aging is complex and lasts for at least 24 months.
