100% Verdicchio, coming from the most prestigious lands of Marche, Castelli di Jesi. The vineyards, that are between 6 and 30 years old, are trained with Guyot method and their elevation swings between 150 and 300 meters above the sea level, with south/south-west exposition. The plants average production is around 95 quintals per hectare. The manual harvest is planned in the second half of September. The maturation level of the grapes is controlled carefully, in order to determine the perfect day to begin with the harvest. This consent to keep the sourness that identifies this wine. The fermentation process starts after static decanting of the must. It is managed at 14-16°C in inox tanks for 8-10 days. The malolactic fermentation preserves the original perfumes of the fruit. All the production phases are developed without oxygen, in order to keep aromas and freshness. 3 months aging in steel before the bottling.
Features of the Verdicchio "Villa Bianchi" DOC wine
Shiny straw yellow with green reflections. Its perfume is wide, intense, fruity and floral. The taste is structured, fresh and savoury. The final is characterized by almonds.
