This extra brut SETTEDUE Franciacorta comes from the birth of Cantina Monte Rossa in 1972: a wine that expresses itself in a direct, authentic way, whose minimum dosage highlights its full depth. The production area is obviously the Franciacorta DOCG, specifically the moraine hills of Bornato, Brescia, Cazzago San Martino, Passirano, Adro, Iseo, and Rodengo Saiano. The 22 crus are spread across 78 hectares of vineyard. The grapes used are 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir, and the vineyards have an average age of 18 years; after manually harvesting the bunches, soft pressing is performed with selection of the best part of the grapes. We proceed with pure vinification for each cru and subsequent fermentation 85% in steel and 15% oak. Final aging in bottle for 30 months.
Features of this Franciacorta Extra Brut
It has a straw yellow color tending towards gold. The olfactory notes recall fruity hints of kiwi and green apple. Harmonic on the palate, with a good acidic vein that accompanies every sip.
