This white wine from Piedmont takes its name from "La Valletta", the nickname of the Rivetti family since the mid-nineteenth century, but also from the name of the hill on which the Chardonnay grapes used for its production grow. The vineyards are located in Costigliole d'Asti, with north-south-east exposure and on sandy-limestone soils. This Chardonnay is produced only in the best vintages and in limited quantities: fermentation takes place in wooden barrels where it is then also aged on the lees for a minimum period of 12 months. Final aging in bottle for another 6 months.
Characteristics of this Piedmontese Chardonnay wine
It has a deep golden yellow color, with greenish reflections. The olfactory profile is fresh, fruity and floral, the same sensations that recur on the palate.
