Brunello di Montalcino is one of the most well-known Italian wines. Brunello di Montalcino Reserve DOCG by Podere Canneta is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes, hand-picked in the vineyards on the slopes around Montalcino (400 amls). It must be aged for 6 years, 4 of which has to be spent in in oak barrels.
Characteristics of Brunello di Montalcino
It presents an is intense red ruby colour. Bouquet delivers typical mature fruits notes. Flavour is balanced, elegant and slightly tannic.
Recommended pairings while tasting this red wine
It can be paired with fine game meats, elaborate dishes, stewed or grilled red meat and aged chees. It should be decanted 2 or 3 hours before serving it in a crystal glass at a temperature of 18- 20°C in order to enhance its aroma.
