Dalila di Feudo Arancio is a Sicilian white wine made from two grape varieties, Grillo and Viognier, grown in the Sambuca di Sicilia area, in the province of Agrigento. The vineyards develop on sandy soils and well exposed to the sun, in a warm and ventilated environment that promotes optimal ripening of the grapes and full aromatic expression. The harvest takes place between the end of August and the first week of September, with selective harvesting of the grapes. After destemming and soft pressing, the must is protected from contact with air and subjected to cold decanting. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, with part of the Viognier also vinified in wood to add complexity. The wine then ages on the lees and is assembled before bottling, for a harmonious and balanced result.
Characteristics of this Sicilian wine
In the calyx it has an intense straw yellow colour. On the nose it expresses a rich and immediate bouquet, with evident floral notes of jasmine and an exotic fruity profile reminiscent of mango and papaya. On the palate it is a wine with good structure, broad and enveloping, with a well-defined fruity component and a fresh and slightly citrusy finish. The balance between softness and freshness makes it elegant and pleasantly harmonious.
Recommended pairings with this white wine from Feudo Arancio
Dalila pairs very well with fish and seafood dishes, first courses with vegetables, white meats and delicately flavored baked preparations. It is also suitable for grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses, thanks to its structure and aromaticity. The ideal serving temperature is between 10 and 12 °C, so as to enhance its freshness, aromas and taste balance.
