Vermentino Colli di Luni "Etichetta Nera" 2025 DOC LUNAE

Lunae the renamed producing company from Liguria that since three generations works in the La Spezia area produces the sensational white wine named Etichetta Nera by the Vermentino grapes. The white Vermentino Etichetta Nera of the Lunae winery is honored by the DOC certification. The vineyards are located in Castelnuovo Magra and Ortonovo in the La Spezia province. The cultivation soils are pebbly and rich of stones that allows the grapes to perfectly develop. They are cultivated with the Guyot method. The manual grape harvest takes place in the half of September when the bunches are put in wooden boxes for a short period. The wine making process starts in the next 48 hours in stainless steel tanks. There is a maceration on peels for 48 hours and it follows the racking off. There is the fermentation in steel tanks and then the aging occurs in special tanks to guarantees pureness and clearness until March or at least April.

Characteristics of the Vermentino Colli di Luni "Etichetta Nera" DOC

It has a light straw yellow color with golden reflections and in the aged versions it acquires amber reflections. The perfume is elegant with remarkable flower, aromatic herbs, spices, ripen fruit and honey aromas. It is wide and charming with a freshness sensation. The taste is sapid, harmonic and persistent. A very potential wine which is also elegant with a good tannic structure.

The Vermentino bianco DOC Etichetta nera of the Lunae winery is perfect with typical courses from Liguria such as stockfish, tripe in humid, chickens and fish soups. For its own consistence, beyond being a white wine, it can be matched with richer and more structured courses. The Vermentino DOC Etichetta Nera has to be served at 13°-14°C. If fresh it can expresses all its scents and tannic structure. It has to be served in a wide wine glass.
