The red wine Montefalco Sagrantino “Della Cima” is honored by the maximum wine and food certification which is the DOCG which certifies and guarantees the origin. It is produced with 100% Sagrantino grapes and the production method ends with the first aging in French oak barrels and the last one in bottles. This aging permits the wine to achieve chromatic and sensorial nuances very excellent and typical. The soils are sandy with some rocks and they are located at 350-400 meters above the sea level with a cultivation of 5000 units per hectare with the cordon spur pruning. The profit is about 45 quintals per hectare and the grape harvest takes place in the second decade of October.
