Wine description
From the Manduria DOP area and using pure Primitivo di Manduria grapes of course, comes this Apulian red wine from Tenute Girolamo Winery. Following the harvest, the grapes undergo soft maceration and subsequent fermentation in steel. The final stage of refinement requires a stay in French oak barriques for 6 months and a further phase in the bottle for a further 6 months.
Characteristics of this Apulian wine
It has an intense red colour with purple highlights. The olfactory profile is very complex and recalls currants, plums, spices and cinnamon. On the palate it impresses with its persistence and balsamic finish.
Recommended pairing with this Apulian red wine
Excellent with traditional Apulian dishes, in particular meat dishes, cheeses and stewed vegetables. Serve at a temperature of 16-18C°.
