Marche Bianco “Garofanata” Villa Angela della Cantina Velenosi is an aromatic and original white wine born from the valorization of the native Garofanata variety, a rare grape variety historically present in the Marche region. The grapes come from hilly vineyards located in the province of Ascoli Piceno, raised on medium-textured soils with a good presence of skeleton, in a climatic context influenced by the Adriatic sea breezes and temperature variations that favor the development of the aromatic grape complement. Harvesting is done manually during the cooler hours of the day to preserve the aromatic fragrance. After soft pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, followed by a brief refinement on the fine lees which provides greater balance and complexity while maintaining the varietal freshness intact.
Characteristics of this wine from Cantina Velenosi
On organoleptic examination it appears with a bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. The aroma is intense, elegant and particularly characteristic, with evident floral notes that recall the carnation, from which the grape variety takes its name, accompanied by hints of white flowers, citrus, white peach and light aromatic and herbaceous nuances. In the mouth it is fresh, soft and balanced, with a pleasant flavour and good aromatic persistence that makes the sip harmonious and refined. The finish is delicate but persistent, with floral and citrus returns that enhance its territorial identity.
