VELENOSI
Velenosi Winery represents a synthesis of Marche heritage, winemaking innovation, and international vision, with an approach aimed at making wine not only an authentic expression of its territory, but also a modern, recognizable product with a clear and consistent style and identity. Today, Velenosi is one of the most representative wineries of the Marche region. Founded in Ascoli Piceno, it has grown to become a benchmark both in Italy and abroad. Its story began in 1984, when Angela and Ercole Velenosi, two young entrepreneurs driven by a strong passion for wine, decided to start a project that would combine tradition and innovation. Over the years, the winery expanded further and in 2005 it took on its current structure, thanks also to the contribution of oenological and managerial expertise that helped build a modern and well-organized company, while maintaining a strong connection to its territory. The winery’s production heart is located in the Ascoli Piceno area, about 20 km from the Adriatic Sea, in a hilly landscape characterized by clay-rich and well-ventilated soils, ideal conditions for viticulture. The estate extends across the Piceno area and reaches into Abruzzo and the Castelli di Jesi zone, allowing the winery to work with a wide range of native grape varieties such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Pecorino, Passerina, and Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, alongside international varieties. One of the winery’s most distinctive features is its ability to interpret local grape varieties in a modern way, while maintaining a strong territorial identity. Its production philosophy is based on the balance between tradition and technology: on one hand, respect for nature’s rhythms and agricultural practices; on the other, the use of advanced winemaking technologies that ensure precision, aromatic clarity, and consistent quality. From a stylistic point of view, Velenosi wines are defined by a clear and recognizable profile: pure fruit expression, smooth texture, balance, and immediate drinkability, without sacrificing structure in the reds or freshness in the whites. This combination has contributed to their strong success in international markets and to the global spread of Marche wines. Another key element is the winery’s strong commitment to promoting the Piceno territory, showcased through a wide and diverse range of labels, from everyday wines to premium selections and flagship cuvées. The winery also stands out for its well-structured production system and its consolidated presence in numerous foreign markets, positioning it among the leading wine producers in the region.
