Rich in history and idyllic natural landscapes, Franciacorta is located in the heart of Lombardy: to the west it is bordered by the Oglio River and to the north by the Rhaetian Alps; a unique setting in the world characterized by rolling hills that give rise to the moraine amphitheater. This is where the Lo Sparviere Winery is located, specifically in Monticelli Brusati, where there is an ancient 16th-century country house. The company is now led by Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta, who with tenacity and great passion has led to the recovery of the history and charm of this corner of Franciacorta. The winery currently boasts a 60-hectare property, 30 of which are dedicated to the organic cultivation of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are located in Monticelli Brusati and Provaglio d'Iseo, where the soils are rich in calcareous marl. This unique soil composition gives the Franciacorta produce its typical structure, as well as its flavor.
