TERUZZI

Teruzzi Winery is located in San Gimignano, a hill town in Tuscany declared a UNESCO heritage site for its historical and cultural wealth. The notoriety of this locality is also due to the fact that it is the birthplace of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, a white wine produced exclusively in this territory: it is no coincidence that it is the first Tuscan wine to acquire the Denomination of Controlled Origin in 1993. It is in this context, in a territory deeply linked to its historical and cultural roots that the Teruzzi company is located, which boasts an area of 180 hectares 96 of which are planted with vineyards; founded in 1974 by Enrico Teruzzi and his wife Carmen, the company has as its background the idyllic landscape of the Tuscan hills and operates according to the concept of sustainability: no chemical fertilizers or residual weeding are used and there has been a considerable reduction even pesticides; Furthermore, in the spring season a very selected choice of shoots is carried out to obtain quality bunches. The Teruzzi brand is therefore a perfect union of these two components: a strong link to culture and historical roots but also a deep interest and curiosity for innovations.
