SANDRONE

The Sandrone Winery is located in Barolo, in the heart of the Langa del Nebbiolo region. In 1977, Luciano Sandrone purchased his first portion of Cannubi Boschis, a vineyard that best expresses the potential of Nebbiolo. A year later, the Luciano Sandrone winery was founded and during Vinitaly in 1981, almost all of the 1,500 bottles of Barolo produced were sold. In the meantime, exports to foreign countries began and the winery's work attracted the interest of international journalists such as Robert Parker, who awarded the 1989 Cannubi Boschis 97 points. Currently, production includes five labels and was finalised in 1994 with the first harvest of Valmaggiore, born in the heart of Roero. Since the beginning, Luciano Sandrone has always based his work on a philosophy of quality: every wine must be exclusive, capable of standing the test of time, as evidenced by the “sibi et paucis” project, meaning “for us and for the few”. every year, a few bottles of Nebbiolo-based wine are given a longer ageing period during which they rest, refine and perfect themselves, but only “for a few”, precisely because the gratification is unparalleled.
