The Winery Bonazzi is located in the heart of Valpolicella. It is to total family management, where culture and tradition combined with great passion, are the basis of  their production. The vines are cultivated with the traditional system in double pergola, which still appears to be the most suitable to obtain  grapes suitable to give life to wines of unsurpassed quality. Which are the future projects for your cellar?

We would like to transform all the lands of the company in vineyards and also we would like to build a well in a central area of our lands so to bring water also in the vineyards located on the hill during the critical moments.

In your opinion, how much is important the improvement of the quality of the wines you produce?

I would answer to this question with a sentence I always say to my children: “If a work is made with passion than its improvement is spontaneous”. I believe this is the most important thing which goes along with our work in the cellar.

If you have to convince a customer to buy your wine, what would you say to him?

First of all I would invite him to drink with calm, then if you ask me which wine would I suggest I say the Fameja and the Dario 2003. They are two wines to be tried.  


Which is your favorite thing of your work, and which is the worst?

I do not like the account side this is because my work is to stay in the cellar not in an office; whereas the think I prefer is the staying in the vineyard and in the cellar and to try to always improve.

If the Prime Minister would call you and he would ask you a wine for a very important dinner, which wine would you suggest him, and why?

If he would tell me it has to be joined to a second course such as a roast I would suggest the Dario 2003 due to its great structure and quality.

If you have to give an advice to all the cellars of your territory, what would you advice?

To reduce the quantity and to improve the quality.

In the last years the web commerce is expanding a lot, the online wine shops are growing up more and more; how do you consider this market news?

To many online wine shops does not have any knowledge of wines, this is why I’ve never given my wines to none of the online wine shops; of course until I knew negoziodelvino.

Why have you decided to commit the sale of the wines to the online wine shop Uritalianwines?

Because of the friendship with the owner, the serenity and the will of working.


Which is the wine you would suggest to the online Uritalianwines customers and why?

Instead of suggest you a well-known wine such as the Amarone, today I feel like suggesting to the clientele the San Nicola Rosso a great wine produced with the technic of the Amarone but drying up different grapes variety. This is a very good product with a perfect quality/price ratio.
