Rosso Toscana Brancaia ILATRAIA BRANCAIA
An assembly that is the result of a deep knowledge of the territory. It praise the denomination “ IGT Toscana rosso” and it is composed by 40% of Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% of Petit Verdot and 20% of Cabernet Franc . The production area is “Maremma” from 1998. The age of the vineyards, the new varieties and the experience opened us a lot of new possibilities. Based on this consideration, we reviewed the initial assembly of ILATRAIA-this wine, made of grapes that ripen perfectly in Maremma, is now much more interesting and refined than before. It is intense, classy and typical of this land. The harvest is on the second decade of September, followed by the immediate fermentation at 28°C in steel containers. The maceration process can last also 25 days and ends with the aging. For this phase, 50% of the product is put in new barriques while the other half starts its evolution in used ones. In June the wine is finally bottled.
Features of Brancaia ILATRAIA
Its aspect is characterized by a deep ruby red. The perfume characterized by red fruits, alcohol fruit, marmalade, wilted red flowers, cinchona and liquorice. Beside these, herbal and balsamic shades. The taste is fantastic, the balance between softness and structure is refined and its persistence doesn’t leave space to anything else.
