Descrizione vino

This Rosso di Montalcino is produced in the estate Poggio Landi of Dievole with 100% Sangiovese grapes. The vineyards are located between 180-500 meters above the sea level and benefit from the breeze that characterize the area. The south, south-west exposition of the plants, trained with cordon spur pruning, is perfect. The soils here are composed by clay. 5000 plants per hectare, that are between 18-25 years old, give around 70 quintals. Rosso di Montalcino DOCG is obtained with natural fermentation started by local yeasts. The first aging is managed in French oak barrels for 12 months while the second one is developed in the bottle for 3 months. This wine is the elegant expression of its territory.

 

Features of this Rosso di Montalcino "Poggio Landi" DOCg red wine

Ruby red colour enriched by intense and complex sensations of wild fruits and flowers. The taste is soft, elegant, with soft tannins and a good persistence.

 

Recommended food pairings while tasting this wine from Tuscany

Perfect with main or second dishes, with meat and cold cuts. It has to be served at 20°C in a high, wide wine glass that allows the correct oxygenation.
