NEIGE D’OR Valle d’Aosta DOP Les Cretes
The selected vineyards used to produce this blend of white grapes from Aosta valley come from the Aymavilles, Montjovet, Villeneuve hamlets. The vineyards are 30 years old and the cultivation soils are moraine with sand. The exposition changes and they are located at 350-700 meters above the sea level. The surface is about 0.80 hectares and it is cultivated with the trellised and then with the Guyot method. The density is 7500 trees per hectare and the profit 50 quintals. The grape harvest takes place at the half of September and then there is the maceration in oak barrels of 30 hectoliters and a part in barrels of 300 liters “sur lies” for 11 months. The refinement in bottle lasts 12 months. In 2015 the Les Cretes company opened a tasting room called “IL RIFUGIO DEL VINO”. This wine can be tasted, and it is called “Neige d’or” (golden snow) to valorize the snow that whiten the mountains from the Aosta valley.
Characteristics of the NEIGE D’OR Valle d’Aosta DOP
It has a straw yellow color with green reflections. The smell is fruity, floral and spicy. The taste is consistent and complex with a very elegant end.

It is perfect with risotto, white meats, fish and fresh and creamy cheeses. The service temperature is 12°C.
