The Morellino di Scansano Riserva DOCG is a traditional Tuscany red wine produced by the Le Lupinaie company located in the core of the Maremma Toscana. The grapes are 100% Sangiovese coming from the district of the DOCG of the Morellino of Scansano. The wine making is in steel tanks with short and frequent pumping over to keep fresh the fragrant aromas typical of this wine. After the fermentation it takes place the refinement in oak Slavonia bottle for about 18 months.
Characteristics of the Morellino di Scansano
Esthetically it has a ruby red color which tends to purple. The scent is fruity with some ripe fruit, spicy and vanilla aromas. The taste is rich, embracing with a great and persistent structure.
Suggestions for the Morellino di Scansano Riserva
It has to be served in medium wide wine glassesat 18-20°C. It is great to be drunk with all meat main courses of the Italian tradition.
