Grapes used to made it (85% Sangiovese and 15% Sauvignon) come from vineyards that grow up on the slope of Tuscan Maremma at 300 m.s.l.
Characteristics of Montecucco Sangiovese
It presents an intense ruby red colour. Its bouquet reminds of mature fruit. Dry, balanced and slightly tannic in taste.
Recommended pairings to Montecucco Sangiovese
It should be served in a crystal wine glass at a temperature of 18°-20°C. Two hours of decantation are suggested in order to enhance its qualities.
It can be paired with elaborated dishes, stewed or grilled red meat and aged cheeses.
