Langhe Bianco "MONSORDO" DOC BIO Ceretto

The White wine of the Ceretto winery has the certification of Langhe Bianco DOC. Its production takes place within the territorial limits of the town of Albaretto Torre and is made with 100% Riesling Renano grapes. From the 2015 vintage the Langhe Bianco Arbarei, from 100% Riesling Renano grapes, has taken the name "Monsordo Bianco". Together with the twin brother from red grapes, he makes objective the desire, on the part of the Ceretto family, to investigate the international varieties by studying their expressiveness and observing their declinations and potentialities. A captivating change that leaves intact the desire to tell a variety, the Riesling, in relation to a terroir, that of the Alta Langa, which strongly affects the character of the wines it generates. The production takes place at considerable heights ranging from 600 meters above sea level, up to reach the calcareous soils placed over 650 meters, strong thermal excursions characterize the environment and allow to generate a unique raw material.

Characteristics of the "Monsordo" DOC Bio

This refined wine has a straw yellow color with green reflections. The smell is charged and enveloping with flowers, herbs, pears, white peach, apricot and apple aromas with mineral hints. The taste as an acid-on-the-palate beginning, a decided freshness and then a bodied, important and persistent structure. The proof is 13,5%.

The white Bianco Monsordo Langhe DOC of Ceretto is great with crustaceans and the fish. It is perfect also with soft cheeses and medium aged ones.
