Lagrein DOC Alto Adige TRAMIN
Wine Characteristics
Descrizione vino
Lagrein DOC of the Tremin winery reflects the local origins and show it to us. It is produced by “Lagrein” grapes. This vine variety is local from Alto Adige and it gives an intense ruby-garnet red color with violet and blackberry aromas. The taste is full, enveloping and well structured. Also this wine has the DOC certification of the Südtirol – Alto Adige. In this territory the vines benefit of the synergy between the mite weather and the habitual rains at the beginning of spring time which allow an early bud with an improvement of the main characteristics of the berry. The cultivation area are the Ora, the Egna and the Termeno territories where they are cultivated on clay and pebbly soils with a profit of 75 hectoliters. Firstly the grapes are destemmed and fermented at 28°-30°C in steel and cement tanks where then it takes place the malolactic fermentation which is fully carried out. Then the wine ages in oak barrels and also in cement barrels where it rests for 6 months.
