The white Grillo SurSur wine is produced with the 100% Grillo grapes which makes it very fresh and fruity with some white peach and grapefruit aromas in addition to aromatic herbs. The refinement of the white wines of the Donnafugata cellar is appreciable for the proof which is around 13 degrees. As already said, this wine is produced with 100% Grillo grapes. The Grillo grapes are picked at the end of August. After a soft pressing the must is left fermenting under temperature control. It follows a refinement in tanks for some months and finally 2 months of bottle refinement before the commercialization. It has bright but weak straw yellow color. It has a fresh and fruity scent with some white peach and grapefruit aromas in addition to aromatic herbs. The taste is wide and clean, with a perfectly integrated taste and a delicate softness.
