Franciacorta Grande Cuvée Brut "Alma" DOCG Bellavista
In a wonderful territory located in Lombardia, between the Iseo lake and the Po valley, there are 190 hectares of vineyard which give life to the famous Franciacorta Bellavista, an historical name who represents the excellence in the Italian sparkling wines. The Franciacorta Alma Cuvèe Brut born from the union of 60 different selections of grape harvests which come from all the territories spread in 10 different towns in the Franciacorta area and from the union with the different years “reserve wines”. All these combinations belong to the Bellavista distinction. The grapes are 80% Chardonnay, 19% Pinot Nero and 1% Pinot Bianco. The 15% of the wine, which belongs to this Cuvèe, ferments in white oak barrels. The bottle refinement takes 36 months on yeast, follows the disgorging which consists in the removal of the cap where the lees lay down and then the traditional cork with a little metal cage. The Bellavista Alma Cuvèe Brut is commercialized, at least, 4 years after the harvest.
Characteristics of the Franciacorta Cuvée Brut
Esthetically it has a yellow color with some green reflections. The foam is white with a fine and persistent pearl nuance. The scent is seducing with some ripe fruit and light vanilla flavors. The taste is coherent with the smell sensations. In additions it has an aromatic, sapid, complete and persistence touch.
Suggestions for the Franciacorta Cuvée Brut
It has to be served in flute at 6-8°C. It is excellent for the aperitif time, and it is perfect to be drunk with appetizers, fish starters and fish tartar.
