Wine Characteristics
Descrizione vino
It is produced with selected grapes coming from a single vineyard. “More Maiorum” is the best expression of Fiano. This wine represents the tradition of its region. Its name recalls exactly this concept, the “respect for the culture of the past and for the tradition”. It has the denomination “Fiano di Avellino DOCG” and it is produced with 100% Fiano di Avellino variety. The vineyard rises in Lapio, where the lands have a south -west exposition and the soils are rich of clay and limestone. The cultivation is located 400 meters above the sea level. Espaliers with Guyot training produce, with their 3000 stumps, around 50 quintals per hectare. The vineyard is between 15 and 18 years old and its harvest is managed manually at the end of October. The white wine making, with fermentation in barrique in order to give structure and six months aging, is concluded by other 24 months maturation in the bottle.
