Crearo Conca d’Oro TOMMASI
This sensational red wine of the Tommasi winery from Veneto is the “CONCA D’ORO” estate located in the Sant’Ambrogio area in the Valpolicella classica. It is one of the most renowned area together the “GROLA”. The blend is composed by Corvina Veronese 50%, Oseleta 15% and Cabernet Franc 35% grapes. There is a maturation period of 14 days at 21-23°C with several pumping over. It matures for 6 months in French oak barrels of second passage and lately in 12 months Slavonia oak barrels of 35 hectolitres. It refines for 6 months. The “Conca d’Oro” estate is one of the most prestigious in the Valpolicella and it is used to create the Veronese Rosso IGT “Crearo della Conca d'Oro”, of Tommasi. After the fermentation and the maceration for two weeks on the peels it ferments for one year and half in different barrels and lately it is bottled and it rests for 6 months. It is an intriguing wine, rich and drinkable with a real and authentic character.
Characteristics of the Crearo Conca d’Oro Rosso Verona
It has an intense ruby red color. The smell is floral, fruity and spicy with ripened cherries and violet aromas followed by tobacco and vanilla hints. The taste is pleasant, with remarkable tannins and a sapid and persistent aroma. The taste is pleasant, with present tannins, sapid and persistent.
