Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "TERRAROSSA" DOCG Melini
This wine represents the territory and it is produced by the excellent Tuscany winery Melini. The grapes used are Sangiovese and other DOCG local grapes. The vineyard is located in the Chianti Classico hills at 300-400 meters above the sea level and the grapes are cultivated with the Guyot method and the cordon spur pruning on soils rich of galestro and alberese. The grapes are picked in the first decade of October and they stay in contact with the peels for 15 days under temperature control at 26-28°C with daily pumping over to generate a structure and fruity aromas in the wine. It follows the refinement in French oak barrels which give complexity, harmony and softness.
Characteristics of the Chianti Classico DOCG
It has a bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. The smell has raspberry and iris aromas. The taste is clean, full, elegant and harmonic. For its complexity it can be aged in bottle for long time.

It can be matched with roasted meats, game and cheeses. It must be served at room temperature and the proof is 13,2%. It must be served in a Bordeaux wine glass. It can be aged for 8 years if conserved in a fresh and dark place.
