For the prestigious line “Vigneti delle Dolomiti” (Dolomits vines) the agricultural company Santa Margherita presents this excellent white wine of Chardonnay honored by the IGP certification (Indication Geographique Protegee). The wine making process starts with a soft pressing and follows with the fermentation of the must for about 12 days under temperature control at 18°C. Once ended the fermentation, the wine is kept at 15°-16°C in steel tanks until the bottling time. This wine is produced with 100% Chardonnay grapes cultivated at 150 and 400 meters above the sea level. The soil is medium-bodied with fluvial origins and calcareous especially in the surface. The cultivation is made with the typical Trento trellised method and the spurred cordon. The grape harvest takes place from the end of August to the beginning of September.


Characteristics of the Chardonnay wine " Vigneti delle Dolomiti" DOC

It has a prestigious light and limpid straw yellow color which give sensation of minerals and lightness. It has a pleasant floral and white fruits aromas in particular the Golden apple from Trento. The taste is wide and harmonic, but also fresh, sweet and vibrating with persistent fruity sensations.

The white Chardonnay IGT wine of the “Vigneti delle Dolomiti” line is perfect as appetizer, thanks to its lightness and it is perfect with creams and light and delicate snacks. It is perfect with light vegetarian or row fish starters. It is perfect to be matched with the fresh vegetables oil dip or the white sea risotto. It has to be served in tulip wine glasses to concentrate the aromas to the nose. It has to be served at 8°C.
