Cartizze Ruggeri Dry or, to be more precise, Valdobbiadene Superiore Cartizze. This wine has noble origins and, with its elegance, it represents the highest oenological expression of these lands. In this article we can find all the elements that characterize the variety Prosecco cultivated in this particular area called Cartizze: class, fruits, flowers. The optimal exposition of the plants and the composition of the soil, with limestone, clay and sand deeply influence this particular wine. Usually, Cartizze is characterized by sweetness. In fact, in the past the grapes were harvested late, even at the end of October or in the first days of November. It could happen that the low temperatures of the nights stopped the fermentation that although restarted with the warmth of the spring, giving again life to the yeasts made inactive during the winter. These processes were really slow and produced pleasant wines with great perlage, intense perfume and sweet, fruity taste. Single variety wine making, 100% Glera.


Features of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze DOCG Dry

Straw yellow colour with fine and persistent perlage. The scent is full of flowers and fruits like Golden apple and wisteria flowers. Its taste is sweet, fresh, structured, harmonious, with aromatic persistence and a fruity final.


Recommended food pairings while tasting this Cartizze Ruggeri

It is perfect at the end of the meal, to celebrate important moments. Excellent with different desserts, particular cheeses, or delicate liver paté. It has to be served at 6°C in a high, wide wine glass and reaches an alcoholic strength of 11% Vol.
